This Holiday Season Consider a Gift to the Medora Harvest Fund

This holiday season, please consider a gift of support to the Medora Harvest Fund.

Your contribution to the Medora Harvest Fund helps provide families in need with access to fresh, organic produce from local farms and Community Supported Agriculture. In addition, your tax-deductible contribution supports local farmers.

LESSON will use your donation to fund the purchase of a share from the farm of your choice, or for a family who you have identified.

The Medora Harvest Fund was founded in honor of Medora Cockey, an organic farming enthusiast who was an inspiration to her family, friends and the farming community.

Teaching Garden

Kelly Meyer
The TEACHING GARDEN ™ is a place where students, teachers, parents and community members come together to plant a garden, learn about nutrition and the importance of physical fitness, and pass on their knowledge to others. Starting your own garden is fun and surprisingly easy.

Iowa Food Cooperative

Iowa Food Cooperative
The essential business of the IFC is to provide a web-based marketplace of Iowa-grown food for willing buyers and sellers. At no time does the cooperative take title to any of the products. We have no inventory. The products that go through our distribution system are owned by our producer members, who then sell these products directly to our consumer members.

Sustainable Table

GRACE Foundation
Sustainable Table celebrates local sustainable food, educates consumers on food-related issues and works to build community through food. Every day, more and more consumers are shopping smarter, eating healthier, and enjoying an abundance of fresh, locally-grown products. Sustainable Table was created to celebrate this fast-growing, dynamic movement, to educate consumers on food-related issues, and to help build community through food.

It doesn't matter if your garden is 1 small bed in your backyard or an acre big, we need you! With skyrocketing produce costs, food pantries and shelters are finding their limited resources stretched even further. Partnering together, we can strengthen our communities and build local resources! This is a project you can really dig into!
